The griffin has been fucking me up. Maybe I should have done a side quest or two first.

i need to get a handle on the dodging. that seems to be the key, hit hit DODGE, hit hit DODGE, repeat as necessary and mix in with signs.

I'd recommend doing a side mission or two first.

You'll fit right in with Bloodborne.

id run around and do most of the side quest icons before the griffen. you will definitely pick up superior armor and weapons and have some time to learn about combat and crafting

I must say that I really wish that I had a high end gaming pc for this.

I'm running it on Ultra, and it's pretty dang sweet.

From what I've read you should really try and do all the side quests in the first area so you're not underpowered later/have to skip or fail quests..

Im so fucking jealous. It looks great on PS4 but there are some notable moments that take me out of the game like stuttering and some frame drops. What's your set up?

Intel i5 4690k, nvidia gforce 970, 8gb ram. I've had some crashes to desktop but mostly it's smooth like buttah.

man, once you venture out into the real game world get ready for some serious death/reload action.

feels like I'm gaming on my N64 again

That runs it on ultra? I'm not trying to diss the set up or anything but I would have figured that it would take more to run it that high but that's beyond good to know. Granted I am just really getting into the whole CPU side of things since I'm looking to build a PC here soon (aka I don't know all that much yet). I would have just thought it needed an i7 even though you're running a hell of a graphics card.

I'd agree with this statement. I haven't played Dark Souls or any of that shit but this game can be frustrating as balls. I haven't played a game when you have to really think about every encounter like this in a long time.

The difference in i7 and i5 is pretty minor for gaming. It's still about gpu. I should be able to play ultra at 1920x1080 at 30fps on my gtx770.

Go play Dark Souls. You can get DS2 on Steam with a new facelift.

    Thanks for that!

what bym said. The i5-4690k is pretty much the default for a gaming rig right now. Definitely makes sense to save the $100 (or more) on the CPU and invest it into a better graphics card.

I have an i5 4670k, Nvidia Geforce 980, 8gb ram, and it's not completely ultra. Are you talking about with Hairworks on or off? I have everything ultra at 1080p except for foliage distance at high and one other minor one. With Hairworks on, it will drop below 60 fps. With it off, I'm at a constant 60fps.
