Completely. I can’t believe Nadal came back. He looked exhausted.

I really like Medvedev. He’s such a character and doesn’t care what others think. He mouthed “boring” twice during the awards ceremony, and his sarcastic facial expressions are unmatched.

That's ridiculous. Ban Russian national teams in international competition, fine. But individuals that happen to be born in Russia? Weak.
 
FWIW, the French Open has already announced that aren't going to ban players from Russia or Belarus and they will compete as "neutral athletes".

In addition to Medvedev, the highest ranked player impacted is #8 in the world Andre Rublev. On the women's side, Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus (#4 Wimbledon semifinalist in 2021) and Victoria Azarenka (former #1 player, now #18) are also banned.

This is essentially guilt/punishment by association. Understand the desire to punish Russia, but individuals can not help where they are born, nor is it fair to require an individual to give up his/her citizenship to compete. Agree with the thoughts above that this is not the Olympics or the World Cup, where players represent a country; this is an individual event.
 
Nadal just beat FAA in five. Nadal looked fantastic in the fifth set. But now he faces Djokovic, who is playing really well.

The Nadal and Joker match looking like one for the ages. They are 3 hours in, and still in third set.

Rafa won the first set and was up 3-0 in the 2nd set, when Joker stormed back to take the 2nd set.

Just went it looked like Rafa was cooked, he is now up 4-1 in the third set. Seems destined for 5 sets.

When tennis icons Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal meet Tuesday for the 59th time at 2:45 p.m. Eastern in the French Open quarterfinals. American fans will have only one over-the-air option to watch: the Tennis Channel, a cable network that’s available in 61 million homes via cable and satellite providers.

Tuesday’s match will not air on one of the networks owned by NBCUniversal, or Peacock, its streaming service. While NBC and Peacock will televise the men’s and women’s semifinals and finals this weekend, they only can offer a limited number of midweek matches under the terms of their contract with Roland Garros.

The bulk of the French Open matches — 80 percent — are aired in the United States by Tennis Channel under a deal reached in 2016 that runs through 2023. Tennis Channel does offer a streaming service called TC Plus, but it costs $109 annually, is available only in year-long subscriptions and does not include the main Tennis Channel feed, which can be accessed online only with a cable or satellite subscription. The Djokovic-Nadal match only will air on the main Tennis Channel feed, according to a schedule on the network’s website.

found out today a buddy got tickets a while ago and turned out to be for this match -- lucky draw!

What a huge win by Nadal. Can’t believe the level he is playing at.
 
Today’s semifinal between Nadal and Zverev…apparently only available on Tennis channel.
