"The Russian plane that crashed in Egypt at the weekend "may well have been brought down by an explosive device", Downing Street has said.
All flights between the UK and Sharm el-Sheikh have been suspended on Wednesday evening as UK experts assess security at the Egyptian airport."

Apparently, the black box indicated that there was an explosion in one of the engines. Another Russian passenger plane went down in Sudan today. There seem to have been survivors, maybe children. This could potentially be pretty sensational stuff.

I came really close to routing a connection through Egypt next month. Feeling glad I didn't.

Pissing off Russia would be a really stupid move by the people claiming they are responsible.

The US is moving towards the same conclusion:

(CNN)The latest U.S. intelligence suggests that the crash of a Russian passenger jet in the Sinai over the weekend was most likely caused by a bomb on the plane planted by ISIS or an ISIS affiliate, according to a U.S. official familiar with the matter.

But the official stressed a formal conclusion has not been reached by the U.S. intelligence community.

"There is a definite feeling it was an explosive device planted in luggage or somewhere on the plane," the official, who is familiar with the latest U.S. intelligence analysis of the crash, told CNN.

Considering that Russia is still involved in several small scale conflicts within in it's own borders (which they "control" buy paramilitaries, corruption and other methods) ... not many.

Great, then they can spill blood and money over a conflict outside of their borders instead of us and keep killing each other...win/win.
