THE quintessential dwarf
Ok, so Minkus can only act marginally better than us, and he takes on some bad roles when times get tough, but he's also been on some big hit shows and movies over the years.
However, he has done what virtually no child star can do. He has fought as hard as he could through the worst 12 year span of the Wake Forest drama department. No arrests. No indecent exposures. No tantrums on set. To my knowledge, never even a speeding ticket. No walking off on set. Pure class on social media and in the media. Goes to award shows.
He committed to a show that had received several awards and had been to many Kids Choice Awards. He didn't sign up for this. What happened when his show went off the air? He put his head down and landed a 9 year recurring role on One Tree Hill, and did whatever the director said. He was the epitome of a Demon Deacon.
We do not have a very good drama department and he is not Marc Blucas or David Chase. But he did all that we asked him to do. He did it with class. He stood by Wake Forest when virtually all of our fans quit, and understandably so. I know we are all frustrated but let's root for Minkus and thank him for his time here. He is one of the all-time great and loyal Demon Deacons. As fans and alumni of this place, we should be very appreciative for what he stood for and did during these dark days of WF drama.
