Fouling because you are out of position, don't use your feet or use you hands too much is not the same as being portrayed as a thug where the refs are aware of it. I don't think the can keep track of all the guys in the league that play bad defense and foul. They'd need to carry their smart phone on the court to keep track.
If JC was yelling and complaining about those fouls he's getting but he seems to respect the refs and doesn't make a show of it.
