GENERAL
Welcome to the Rio Olympics, where you only need to ingest 3 teaspoons of water to contract a virus and possibly shit yourself to death. But hey, higher faster stronger, amirite? Anyway, it’s the eve of the 2016 Olympics and we’re all shaking our asses on the beautiful beaches of Brasil waiting for this party to get started. So let’s let the games begin and the boys be boys, shall we?!
Four key mafia are out to give the rest of us a real bad time. There is one independent at the Olympics by the way, hostile to the civ cause. Normal rules apply: no night posting (unless you are dead and it is a gif unrelated to the game), no editing of posts, majority is instant and there's twilight. No majorities with 6 or fewer.
Here are the roles:
MAFIA
Brazilian Bulldozer: Man is it a boom time for you. Rumbling, bumbling, stumbling over lodging and limbs, you’ve really made a name for yourself in the run up to the games. You’ve been the main actor in displacing 80,000+ human beings for the sake of this event, and guess what? Exactly none of those 80,000 human fucking beings (human beings who have hopes and can despair and have brothers and sisters and children and dicks and vaginas) are going to be able to enjoy attending the games too. How awesome?! With that, you are the mafia roleblocker. You cannot both block and hit on the same night. All players are notified of RB, even Favela Fodder.
Brazilian Government: You corrupt bunch of dickheads. You’ve laundered billions of dollars already, and essentially taken from the poor within your own country and given to the rich both inside and outside of your country. Your bribes help won you the games, and your continued thievery from the Brazilian people has paid for the stadiums and the bitches and carnival atmosphere. You still are hungry for more money though, as putting the Olympics on isn’t cheap. You can continue to shake down the populace by choosing one player per night. You earn a coin from each person. You may turn three coins in for a vig hit. You cannot both shakedown and make a vig hit on the same night.
Open Sewage: You are one smelly dirty potentially dream-ruining river of shit. Considering the report that just came out that says only 3 teaspoons of you will contract a virus, you’re pretty lethal. Each night you may select a player to get a mouthful of your shit water. If the player does not discuss shit/shitting/pooing/aborting in the toilet etc. in every post the following day, the targeted player will die of dysentery at the end of the day. Please notify me of a missed post.
Zika: You could be the end of us all. We are witnessing the convergence of 500,000 people on the epicenter of the zika outbreak, only to return to literally every country on the globe thereafter to spread the epidemic and destroy humankind. What a brilliant idea! This game, you may spread your virus by visiting a player at night. That player’s vote will not count the following day unbeknownst to them. Whomever the zika-infected person’s vote ends up on at the end of the round will then contract zika for the day after that, thereby losing their vote. The chain of zika will continue even if it infects a mafia teammate. If zika infects you, the zika virus is destroyed in some hyperbolic universe-ending recursive weird vaccine-created-by-zika-itself maneuver. If the zika-infected person votes for the person who is lynched, zika dies with that person. If the zika-infected person dies in a way that isn’t a lynching, you get to spread zika again. The zik infliction only lasts for one day period, and then it moves on.
INDY:
IOC (International Olympic Committee): The dirtiest non-profit in the world besides religious institutions and FIFA. You have been able to get away with laundering money, securing bribes, displacing poor people, and murdering others for years. Congratulations. You keep that kind of power in this game as you are the independent in this game. At the start of the game you are immune to investigations, though this can change (results return as civ). Since the IOC never actually does the dirty work, you will have to first find a desperate and willing Favela Fodder person during one night, and then bribe the Favela Fodder person into your faction on the following night. Send me the name of a player at night to hit them up with the offer to join your faction. If they are mafia or civ special, the offer will not be made and you will be notified. During the next night, the Favela Fodder will automatically be bribed successfully. You may only recruit one living Favela Fodder at a time without your bribery becoming too notorious. You may recruit a new person if the Fodder dies while in your service. Once you have this Fodder henchman in your faction, you will open a chatzy with them. The henchman will have 3 powers that each must be used before reusing any of them: vig kill, rolecop, tracker. If you die with a living henchman, the henchman dies as well (but not vice versa).
Additional notes: civs will be notified of any successful recruitment. The henchman will return not-civ to any investigation.
CIVS:
Bob Costas: You are the man. You tell it like it is. Nothing but the truth. Etc etc. And still they let you host the Olympics for an 11th time despite your inability to cover up the truth. Anyway, you function as the cop this game. Send me the name of a player each night and I will return a result of civ/not civ to you. There is an investigation immune player, so beware. To counter this, if you are infected by zika or forced to drink the local shit water you will contract pink eye, as you did during the last Olympic games in Sochi. The normal effects of those diseases will affect you, but you will also be powered up! As when you were infected with pink eye (the truth you spouted become even truthier), so it works in this game. You will then also be able to find the investigation immune player with your usual investigation. Effectively, the investigation immune player will be stripped of their power and he will return a result that is true for your normal investigation.
TV Ratings: Supposedly this is going to be the most watched Olympics of all times because it’s in a good time zone for US viewers. That could go one of two ways- either we witness all of the shit that has been dropped at the feet of the Brazilian people, or we get to see a great Olympics. Who knows what we will witness. With that, you are the watcher. Send me the name of one person per night and I will tell you who visited them, if anyone did.
Completely Functional Western Toilet: You are the only western toilet that functions properly in the entire Olympic Village. You can cure the sick, protect the weary, flush the pudding. This game, you may protect one person per night as the civ BG. If they are hit while on your throne, you will die in there stead and the attacker will die as well. In addition, if they are forced to drink shit water that night, they will be okay and not be affected by the shit.
Promiscuous Olympian: You fuck errbody in the Village. You don’t care about the conditions at all. Shit, you’re not even a swimmer so what do you have to worry about? You could end up being patient zero for the disease that wipes out humanity, but whatever, you’re going to get your nut. This game you are compelled to choose a player each night that you will take to pound town. By spreading your Olympic seed, anything that affects you that night will also affect them, and anything that affects them will also affect you.
The remaining 9 players are Favela Fodder (vanilla civs).
End game: civs must eliminate all hostiles. Mafia must = the living civs and eliminate the indy. Indy must outlive all mafia and be alive with only one civ.
