Role of the Media

Yeah but the NYT editorial page is also the home of Brooks, Weiss and Stephens, among others

True. I meant the overall editorial tone (such as their political endorsements at election time) tends to be liberal, but not always. They definitely have their share of old-line GOPers, though.

CNN and MSNBC are less about pushing liberal propaganda than they are in pushing sensationalism, ratings, and website hits, irregardless of political ideology. They only look "liberal" when compared to Fox News, which isn't even a news organization in the conventional sense of the term, but a 24/7 propaganda arm of the Trumpite Republican Party. Even the NY Times, which is pretty liberal on its editorial page, still pursues a lot of bosiding in its other sections and articles. However, since most conservatives regard any news outlet as "liberal" that's even slightly to the left of Fox News, Breitbart, and One America, or that is even mildly critical of Trump and other Republicans, they persist in seeing all nearly all mainstream news media as the enemy, and you'll never convince them otherwise.

This might be the most accurate post I’ve read in 2+ years of regularly posting on the boards.

In Trumpublican world, almost anything true or honest is “fake” or “liberal”. And is reflexively disbelieved.

Remember when unemployment rates under Obama were fake but now they’re like LOWEST UNEMPLOYMENT EVAR!!!!!!!!

“Ansell argued that Brewer’s radicalization was heavily influenced by what his wife, who was 17 at the time of the crime, had been reading online. “According to Nolan, she began with rightwing yet mainstream views such as those presented on Fox News,” Ansell’s sentencing memo said. “She then moved on to writings by Ben Shapiro and articles on Breitbart News which bridged the gap to the notorious white supremacist and anti-Semitic propaganda site Stormfront.”

this is not to take anything away from D-Day, but honestly that has to be about one of the easiest things to write a moving speech about.
