Role of the Media

Or do they ever ask anyone else?

Hilarious. They probably live near one of those Peachtree Streets.

Several years ago, I was talking to a professor who used to get on CNN every few months. He said the only reason he got on was because he was in Atlanta. That’s it. He was close enough to the studio that he could just head over there for a segment.

They’re never gonna love you, CNN. Never.

Do they ever do focus groups of politically interested liberals? I rarely watch 24 hour news networks but the only focus groups I see are conservatives, independents, or undecideds.

CNN almost never does. Their focus groups almost invariably feature Trump supporters or "undecideds" who always seem to lean conservative. I don't know if I've ever seen CNN do a focus group of just liberals, or Trump critics, or anything like that. Instead we either get location interviews with the typical small-town diner crowd of rural Trumpites, or studio focus groups of mostly blonde bubbleheads and/or Trump blue-collar types. It's their go-to formula, apparently.

And all that builds a false consensus.

Somebody did some research and found that the women CNN interviewed aren't even a real focus group, but a "political response team." They're members of a political group that's been making media appearances since the 2016 election to support Trump and his policies. So, these aren't even typical Trump supporters off the street - it's an organized group that's been promoting and defending Trump since 2016. Does CNN not know this, or do they know and just not care?

Definitely the latter. Cable news is the devil, y’all.

Cumulus Media Blocks Country Radio Stations From Airing Pete Buttigieg Interview

Cumulus Media, one of the largest broadcasting companies in the country, blocked one of its country radio station hosts from airing his interview with 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg, mayor of South Bend, Indiana.

Blair Garner, whose self-titled Nash FM radio show is syndicated nationally across more than 150 radio stations, interviewed Buttigieg on Wednesday while the Democratic candidate visited Nashville, Tennessee, as part of his campaign tour.

“It’s important to Pete to reach voters everywhere,” Buttigieg campaign spokeswoman Lis Smith told HuffPost in a statement Sunday. “We’ve made it a point on this campaign to go outside the traditional political media bubble ― that’s why we reached out to Blair about an interview.”

“[Blair] has a big audience,” she added. “And it’s an audience that doesn’t typically hear directly from Democratic candidates for president.”

Those aren't women, those are the enemy of the people deep state Democrats whose sole goal is to destroy your way of life.

When you believe that, much can be justified.

There’s never been a point in our history where the majority of white women stood up for non-white women. Why start now?

The dumb racist Covington kid had his $250 million lawsuit against the Post dismissed by the judge

This is an excellent take on the failure of modern media.

And we have probably the 50th CNN article since November 2016 interviewing all-white working-class voters (this time in Michigan) about how they feel about Trump. And the article says the same thing that all of the others have said: nearly all of them "grudgingly" voted for Trump last time, and nearly all of them will probably "reluctantly" vote for Trump next year, although some did admit that they're "tired" of having to constantly defend him (to whom is not specified) and his tweets and insults and all that. Most said they didn't care about his attacks on AOC, Omar, and the other members of the "squad", although one Trump fan claimed that if Trump actually said the n-word in public that he might - just might - get "pissed", although he said that Trump's racism is "beyond irrelevant" to him. I don't think that any of the voters they interviewed are actually undecided, and at least 90% of them will vote for Trump. But I'm sure that CNN will soon have yet another segment or article in which they interview white working-class "undecideds" who somehow all voted for Trump in 2016, or who will "grudgingly" vote for him next year because the economy is so great, and the Democrats have gone too far socialist. Rinse, repeat.

Where’s the article interviewing naturalized citizens about how they feel about Trump’s comments?

Barry Brinkley, 75, and his wife Susan, 70, of St. Clair Shores, who described their politics as "as far right as you can get," said they hope Vice President Mike Pence will challenge Trump in 2020

This is the scariest concept imaginable. If they ignore obvious and growing racism, it will become accepted and our country will be much worse for it.
