D Maggio punted 8 times for 322 yds in his first game.

Hopefully we just shut down the program before that happens.
 
We might've lost the game had he not made a great one-handed catch on that bad snap to save a safety. #MVP
 
Really impressed with how quick Mags gets the ball off for a freshman. He's quick. Usually a big adjustment from HS to College.

Seems like the call was to let him punt "normal" instead of roll out. 2-3 were roll outs? 5-6 were normal? Seemed like Kinal had the opposite ratio most games.

Looks like a good athlete back there as well.

AS always needs to work on consistency. Pretty perfect weather last night at 70 degrees, light wind. Gotta be able to boom in that every time. But pretty solid for game 1.

this. Very well could have been the play of the game as sad and pathetic as that sounds.

Thanks to ESPN3, we couldn't see each snap, but Maggio did a good job reeling it some bad ones. The long snapping and protection need a lot of work.

You're surprised that Dom Maggio made a one handed catch?

Next you'll be surprised by catches by Matt Tingly or Mr. September himself, Jack Son.
 
The protection was bad. Need to get some bigger guys on the line. Two or three looked close to being blocked
 
Kinal punted 337 times. Maggio is on pace for 384.
 
Pretty amazing that in a completely craptastic game, Maggio only punted one more time a game than Kinal did for four years.
