Brief history of the Arnold Palmer (Drink)

I ordered an Arnold Palmer last night when we out for dinner. It was good, and I had fond memories of our fellow Deacon great.
 
I had one before I played golf yesterday afternoon, I would bet there were more "Arnold Palmer's" drank yesterday than any single day in history.
 
I understand a Palmer with vodka is a John Daly.

The gallon bottles were sold out at Harris Teeter last night, so I had to grab a few of the 23 oz. cans. Even they were running low.
