Someone tried to frame Assange of being a pedo/taking money from Russia

If Wikileaks claims to be an org that opens up things to the people why are they not doing Trump campaign officials' as well?

Don't recall Dem voters making this argument when they published documents that embarrassed the Bush administration. They can only publish what they're given and can verify.
 
Anyway, the front company behind these allegations, someone had set up a Wikipedia page (which Wikipedia has since removed), Facebook page, twitter account, subreddit, etc. The people or person behind this need to be exposed. This appears to be far more organized than just one person with a grudge against Assange.

Well, I think the charges against him in Sweden, involving consensual sex with two adult women, are bullshit, which is why the first prosecutor refused to prosecute him.
 
He likes to cheat people. That's not the same as not having money.

Assange is a shit messenger. He's exposed some important things in the past, but he's coming off as the worst kind of mercenary in this mess.

What would you expect to happen to him ? He's lucky he's not in prison. He's more of a self promoting douche at this point than a crusader for transparency.

Okay, so you hate Assange and want to see him get fucked over. That explains the "meh". Was just curious cause this is a pretty interesting case. It's looking like a number of people were involved with this hoax.

Why do you say that? He's done more than most people, risked more, to bring transparency to governments and expose the powerful. I think he's a principled messenger.

You can say a lot of things about Assange, but having principles is not one of them. He exposes the powerful, sure, but he bought into his own hype awhile ago and really appears to work in the service of powerful interests just as often as he exposes them. He's like a mediocre character on The Blacklist at this point.

What evidence do you have for this? The documents Wikileaks released exposing corrupt Russian oligarchs?
