Agreed, had to share new info with Congress. Should be more forthcoming with scale and nature of investigation, but needs to do a thorough investigation which may not be complete before the election. Probably won't comment on more specifics until investigation is complete.

GOP won't confirm any of Hillary's cabinet or judicial nominees or Trump would lock HRC up. Governing, not so much. Shitty all around. Good thing there's a complete Supreme Court.

We won't know until more information is available but there's a good chance these emails on Huma's computer are copies of sent items they found on Hillarys server.

We won't know? I can buy that but you tried to paint Comey as a trump supporter. It's ridiculous- dems have no one to blame but Hilary for this but you got out of the accountability a long time ago.
 
The surrogates for Clinton should use the following talking points:

1. It's Weiner not Hillary
2. The timing is 100% political
2. Where has the FBI been on Wikileaks? Why no action on multiple felonies?
4. It's Weiner not Hillary

Just calling out an inconsistency in the FBIs approach to dealing with presidential candidates under or related to investigations. I have no idea whether he's a trump supporter or not.

Calls himself a pub yet covers up Hillary's obvious corruption. Is former pub a better characterization? No self respecting pub could vote for the likes of Clinton without at least holding their nose. Full on shilling is a pig of a different color.

Yep former pub is a better characterization after this year. And I am by no means excited to vote for Hillary but I have zero reservations about it when the alternative is Trump. No self respecting conservative could vote for the likes of a strongman who has shitted all over our democratic institutions. Sorry dude, country before party.

The difference is obviously that Comey was called to testify before a congressional committee as to one and not the other (and hence why Comey referenced his testimony in his letter). You can complain about the inconsistency of that all you want and you'd probably be right, but it's not on Comey.

Allegedly the FBI has had Weiner's lap top for five weeks. Took them that long to figure out there were Huma/HRC emails on there? Seems perfectly reasonable that they would need a search warrant when they were investigating a completely different case. Unless there truly are only three emails involved, have very little faith the FBI can complete a thorough investigation in 11 days. Could be THE smoking gun, another Michelle Obama Whitey tape, John Roberts disappointing the Tea Party on Obamacare, or jack shit. Nowhere near enough public information to make an informed decision.

If that's the case why would Comey say they "appear to be pertinent?"

There's a ton of spin out there right now on both sides. I'm inclined to take the letter for what it's worth at this point. There really isn't any more out there that's reliable.
 
The letter said nothing. "Appear to be pertinent" is as nebulous as you can get. He should waited to see if there was anything concrete rather than creating havoc in a presidential election.
