It would be nice if Pelosi would direct her ire at the segment of the party that is actually screwing up her plans rather than the ones being demagogued by the right.
 
Yeah. She says she’s keeping the caucus unified but taking potshots at new black, Latina, and Muslim women. Of course that’s probably because they’re the main ones publicly out there doing things.
 
Hmmm...someone is finally publishing what I've been saying here. Dems are weak and let people off the hook even when they have unassailable truth on their side. Jim Jordan will be a star for the right next week. If he was a Dem he would have been run out of DC within a week, but Dems and the media have left this pervert off the hook.
 
So yeah it would be cool if Pelosi would do her job instead of taking potshots at junior congresspeople who are trying to do theirs.
 
It would also be cool if freshman Democrats and their staff refrained from taking public pot shots at their more moderate colleagues.

For fuck's sake, the majority leader needs to be the adult in the room, but she's going in the press talking shit about the only popular part of the party. On the one hand she's saying "If you've got a problem come to me" and on the other she's giving interviews talking shit. Too busy "doing important work for the American people" to impeach, which is precisely what? Caving to the GOP on border bill? Trying to get more defense spending? And talking shit about her own party. Leadership!

Meanwhile there are members of Congress who don't have to spend time calling donors 4-5 hours a day or using the Epstein case to fundraise who are actually holding hearings about border cases.

This is on AOC for calling Pelosi a racist. No matter how you want to spin it, that's what AOC did. AOC was 10,000% out of line here.

Pelosi's useless. Do your fucking job and start impeachment proceedings (several of them) and stop picking fights with members of your own party. She needs to GTFO.

Asked if she thinks Pelosi has racial animus or is racist, Ocasio-Cortez said unequivocally, "No, no, absolutely not, absolutely not."

It is bad optics to continually be calling out Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley.

Nobody is popular in Congress.

And I get what Pelosi is referring to when she says "that group of for our five of them" and denigrates their large twitter followings--she means they may be popular online but have no sway in Congress.

But look firmly at the issues themselves, progressive issues like GND, Medicare for All, abolish ICE, ending cash bail, housing, etc., and the progressive positions are far more popular than the centrist positions.

A good Speaker would publicly align themselves with good, broadly popular policy even if they knew practically it wasn't possible or likely. They wouldn't trash popular figures within their party or their positions.
