STOP SHAMING TRUMP SUPPORTERS

Out of 100 senators total?!? That is a small sample size. JHMD knows lots more republican senators who didn't object. You need to get out of your sheltered political scene where you only know national senators and representatives that vote in Washington.

Do you know how many senators there are?

When faced with pretty blatant uncomfortable truths about the Republican party, jh just pretends they don't exist and then obfuscates/deflects.

Mitch McConnell is the most powerful Republican on Earth. This week he is quoted as follows:

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell called former President Donald Trump a "fading brand" and insisted that the Republican party is moving away from the former president, according to Bob Woodward and Robert Costa's new book, "Peril."

This is the part where you insist you clowns know more about the Republican Party than Mitch McConnell.

Where is Small Sample Size Deac when you need him?

lol mcconnell is a fool, then

Notice how jhmd left out that Trump is trying to replace McConnell as majority leader. This is just McConnell hitting back while he can. He’s probably trying to provide cover for Youngkin in Virginia. He wasn’t elected in a primary and can’t win if he embraces Trump. Once the 2022 primary season gets going, GOP primary candidates will trip over themselves to get Trump’s endorsement because red and purple states will be hard to win without Trump on board.

No it's the part where we realized that mcconnell was just as disingenuous as you are and will say anything to maintain Republican power. But to actually believe that in the face of overwhelming evidence makes you incredibly gullible.

So voter turnout against trump (and for him) hit record levels. Your average republican loves donnie jenius. They love everything he does that they don't have the courage to do. Their shared fear and grievance are comforting to them.

moscow mitch will lick his finger and test the wind before any step. That includes supporting, or not, trump and his trumplethinskins.

LOL -- this moron just keeps digging. It's really sad.

Just keeps proving ph’s earlier point that it’s just a game to him.

By the way I saw an early primary ad for the GOP replacement for Burr in the senate. The whole ad was Trump speaking, presumably to endorse this guy. Wonder what that cost? Also wonder why the guy would bother hitching himself to a fading brand this early in the race - strange!

When I'm interested in the direction of the Republican Party, I'm more interested in Mitch McConnell's opinion than yours.

How about we look up some of McConnell’s statements about Trump during the 2015/16 primary season and see whether the man has his finger on the pulse of the GOP voters?

You would think that otherwise educated people would concede that they know less about the Republican Party than the guy whose been (and continues to be) the longest serving Senate leader in U.S. history. You would be wrong. Ignorant arrogance, indeed.

Dead on balls accurate every single time!

mcconnell's longevity in the senate is just evidence of being good at being a politician, nothing else.

Yes, Republicans care only about power. So does McConnell.
