Can someone explain logic (I know, highly unlikely, since almost everything President Cheeto tweets is devoid of logic) that takes you from revoking CA's waiver to enact higher emissions standards = safer cars?
 
Its also dumb because if you’re a company you aren’t looking so short term, let’s squeeze out some profit with these cheaper cars instead of the long term strategy of ohh the orange shit stain won’t be in office forever and future gas mileage requirements probably will return.

because Trump's admin/Conservative thought operates on logic
 
After Doral and Bedminster tank, maybe we could make them into coal and nuclear waste dumps.

Newsome will sue the feds. By the time the cases are settled, Trump will be out of office, but hopefully still in prison.

Trump really does govern like a mob boss (albeit an often incompetent one.) No matter who he's dealing with, whether it's American news media or political opponents or private citizens who criticize him or even entire states that defy him and vote blue, like California, it's all bully and bluster and intimidation to get the other guy to back down. Among the inner circle blind loyalty and constant butt-kissing is required. Even the mildest criticism or objection leads to being removed from the inner circle. What makes Trump different is that if the bullying and intimidation doesn't work, he has nothing to fall back on, and tends to cave quickly, while publicly claiming that his negotiating tactics are a great success and it's the other guy who is losing.
