Rejecting words and actions which perpetrate, support or encourage white supremacists

The new Jacksonville nominating date is on Ax Handle Saturday. During the Civil Rights Movement, a group of black students were sitting in at place in Jacksonville and were attacked with ax handles by a group of KKK and white supremacists.

Trump is having a rally in Tulsa where the greatest racist slaughter in American history happened.

At least they are consistent. Maybe Trump can announce an education bill while standing in a doorway at Bama.

Same story. Three headlines:

USA Today:
[h=1]Google pulls its ads from ZeroHedge, warns The Federalist about dangerous and derogatory speech[/h]https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2020/06/16/google-demonetizes-zerohedge-warns-federalist/3200491001/

Google continues to take a stand against hate speech.
The tech giant gave notices to ZeroHedge and The Federalist to remove content from their sites that violated Google's policy against dangerous and derogatory speech in order to continue generating revenue through Google Ads.
The transgressions were mostly focused on the comment sections of each site.
After being notified of a violation, sites have a few days to rectify the issue and become compliant.

NBC News:

[h=1]Google bans website ZeroHedge from its ad platform over comments on protest articles[/h]https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/google-bans-two-websites-its-ad-platform-over-protest-articles-n1231176

Google has banned ZeroHedge, a far-right website that often traffics in conspiracy theories, from its advertising platform over policy violations found in the comments section of stories about recent Black Lives Matter protests.
Google also issued a warning on Tuesday to The Federalist over comments on articles related to recent protests.
A Google spokesperson said in an email on Monday that it demonetized the websites after determining they violated its policies on content related to race.
“We have strict publisher policies that govern the content ads can run on and explicitly prohibit derogatory content that promotes hatred, intolerance, violence or discrimination based on race from monetizing," the spokesperson wrote. "When a page or site violates our policies, we take action. In this case, we’ve removed both sites’ ability to monetize with Google.”

[h=4]Tucker on the incredible popularity of Black Lives Matter[/h]Black Lives Matter may be the single most powerful political party in the United States.

NBC News is facing intense backlash for apparently influencing Google to punish two conservative news sites over what was deemed offensive coverage of the George Floyd protests.
In a report published Tuesday afternoon, NBC News claimed Google "banned" The Federalist and ZeroHedge from Google Ads for "pushing unsubstantiated claims" about the Black Lives Matter movement. Google later pushed back, claiming that The Federalist "was never demonetized," and adding, "We worked with them to address issues on their site related to the comments section."
"We have strict publisher policies that govern the content ads can run on and explicitly prohibit derogatory content that promotes hatred, intolerance, violence or discrimination based on race from monetizing," a Google spokesperson initially told NBC News. NBC, however, did not link to the "derogatory content" from The Federalist or ZeroHedge.

--------------------

Anyway, Google is cracking down on hate speech associated with its ad platform. Fox News took NBC News' article on the issue and spun it as an NBC News conspiracy even though the same story is being reported by dozens outlets.

Note that tweet is based on the Fox News report that NBC News initiated the Google crackdown when there's no evidence of that.

It's pretty clear that NBC News wrote a story about what happened and then asked Google for more information which is what reporting is supposed to be. The NBC News report explains it clearly:

A Google spokesperson said in an email on Monday that it demonetized the websites after determining they violated its policies on content related to race.
“We have strict publisher policies that govern the content ads can run on and explicitly prohibit derogatory content that promotes hatred, intolerance, violence or discrimination based on race from monetizing," the spokesperson wrote. "When a page or site violates our policies, we take action. In this case, we’ve removed both sites’ ability to monetize with Google.”
After publication of this story, Google backtracked Tuesday, clarifying that The Federalist had been warned about policy violations but still had time to address them. It now has three days to remove the violations before a ban goes into effect.

But to conservatives, that's a conspiracy.

Never read Zero Hedge, but I have read articles on The Federalist, and the comments section on most of these websites are awful. If the best that "conservative speech" can offer are websites like these, then maybe instead of complaining about censorship, they need to raise their game and be more careful about what articles they post and allow in the comments section. Nah - it's just easier to claim that evil fascist LibDems are trying to silence their heroic attempts to provide an alternative view, even when that view is filled with flat-out racism and bigotry, fact-free conspiracy theories, and all the rest.

Moonz loved ZeroHedge. RIP.

Easier whine until Google lets them continue while also confirming their supporters' persecution complex:

Aunt Jemima is now cancelled and the white supremacists weep.

Those pancakes will never hurt or demean anyone else again.

Colonel - what type of reading, research, and reflection have you done during this period?

Other than mocking companies for making changes that help (little-by-little) alter the narrative of acceptance of implicit/systemic racism in America?

Brad exclusively reads Matt Gaetz's twitter feed.

Since the pandemic Brad hasn't been to a friends house displaying lawn jockeys in three months, he is doing his part.
