Wife doesn't die in MCV, so it's not a rom com.
 
If you consider Die Hard a Rom Com, then you have to include Grosse Point Blank.

Don't forget Starship Troopers, Goodfellas, and Back to the Future. 95% of the time, at least of those three is going to be on.
 
Is Striking Distance a rom com?

If so, then Striking Distance.
 
Watched Mr. Right over the weekend. Definitely a candidate, although I'd characterize it as more of an action comedy than a romantic comedy.
