Official Russian Election Interference Thread

Nothing stupid about it. He wants to distract from the substance of the Podesta emails and shift the focus from the corruption they reveal, to deligitimizing Trump's victory. He wants to make the public think the Podesta emails were hacked because of Putin but he then refuses to say it. If there was solid evidence and he's confident in it he would have gladly said it.

Commie anti-American Bob wants our elected officials to release classified info on TV. He would fit in well in the Kremlin.

That dude is probably the anonymous source who leaked info to the Washington Post. Whoever did it clearly had an agenda.

Yeah an agenda of protecting America from foreign influence.

Too bad you prefer having a Russian puppet as a President.

Comrade Bob has a nice ring to it.

We knew it was Comrade Trump many, many months ago. Luckily, he had Comey covering for him.

So we have Manafort and other Trump aides connected to the Kremlin, the RNC Crimea plank changed by Trump posse, obvious Russian interference in the election, a President elect that has not released his tax returns or disclosed the extent to which his business is dependent on Russian cash, Pubs in Congress challenging any attempts to release intelligence findings to the people that Russia is seeking to influence election for Trump (while at the same time Comey issues his bullshit letter) -- there is about 1000x more evidence here that Trump is compromised by Russian ties than there ever was that Barrack Obama was born in Kenya.

Going to a Russian family bday celebration, hopefully I make it out alive. I'll report back if so

You supported Trump. I'm surprised they aren't sending a limo for you.

Aside from the obvious implication that our election system is wide open to manipulation, it's a really big fucking deal that our president elect is deliberately choosing to ignore the very intelligence apparatus that he will rely on for the next 4 years.

He told us it was rigged all along, but only now yall choose to believe it?

Good post. Trump and his birtherism BS brought this level of scrutiny on himself. Hopefully someone "important" starts demanding tax returns and alleged Russian business influences for years without a shred of evidence other than "people say it, so..."

Need to add British and other Western European intelligence agencies are certain of Russian interference and are openly suspicious of Trump.

"The words that so shocked the British were “our country has no idea,” and “I doubt it.” All of the NATO allies are sure Russia is behind the hacking. All of America’s intelligence agencies are, too. The foreign intelligence services had been sharing what they knew about this with the Americans, and Trump had been told about it. But he blithely dismissed the conclusion of not only the United States but its allies as well, based on absolutely nothing. Trump had no apparent means of developing his own information to contradict the findings of intelligence agencies around the world. And that he would so aggressively fight to clear Putin and cast aspersions on all Western intelligence agencies, left the British officials slack-jawed.

“They didn’t know what to think,” says one former British official who has spoken to numerous members of the government about Trump’s comments in that debate. “A lot of people are now trying to connect the dots of all the data [in the intelligence files] to try and understand Trump.... There certainly are a lot of conspiracy theories being bandied about, but no question there is a lot of concern about what’s going on in Trump’s head...and whether we would be able to work with him.”"

Tweet from Lindsey Graham an hour ago:

"Don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out what Russia is up to -- they're trying to undermine democracies all over the world."
