Hell no. My father taught me how to make a Manhattan and a Rob Roy (use Scotch) when I was about 12 so I could tend his bar for his Army vet friends. I still make and drink them today. You stir them. 15-20 stirs is about right. Solid manly cocktail.

Rye is the shit and Manhattans are about as manly and classic as you can get.
Love the 4 Roses we got through the barrel program but would take a good Manhattan over it.

There was a FR pick that my group did that I didn't love (it had a funky F yeast thing going on to me) but I'll be damned if it didn't make the best old fashioneds and manhattans that I've ever had.
