2017 NASCAR Thread - Truex, KyB, Harvick & Kes for all the marbles

Didn't watch the Clash or whatever it's called now due to the time change. Elliot and Jr on the front row.

On another note, there was a bad wreck at Volusia tonight. 3 fans were taken to the hospital, two categorized as trauma. Yet they inexplicably resumed the race.
 
Scary, scary stuff. There was a similar crash a few nights ago that could have ended up just as bad if not worse.

With the threat of rain tonight, the Duals may be run tomorrow during the day, which will be a shame.
 
Christopher Bell and Crafton get airborne and both walk away. Hell of a truck race. Love the new segment format. Reminds me of the heat races at Bowman Gray.
 
Crazy end for sure. They still haven't done nearly enough to keep these trucks/cars on the ground.
 
The only way to prevent them from ever leaving the ground is to drastically reduce the top end speed, which would kill the product. They're aerodynamically pushed to the bottom of the track, but when another vehicle is pushing or they hit a bump and air gets under the vehicle, it'll be very difficult to keep them grounded.
 
Both races this weekend have been wreck fests. Lots of $$ being lost this weekend, with maybe 5 cars finishing the race. An hour and a half later, and the Xfinity guys haven't finished the first segment.
 
If Junior wins it will be the greasy injury comeback story in sports history. Him being the favorite is already tops
 
Yep just like the summer Daytona race in '01. If he wins then I'm positive NASCAR is fixed.
