Betsy DeVos

good grief, is there nothing that this corrupt administration will not do.

so does this mean they will buy guns with our tax money and give to teachers? i mean really!?!

But, hey, the Barr summary of the Mueller Report completely cleared Trump & Company of all wrongdoing, which means that stuff like this and the other grifters and corruption in his administration shouldn't matter! Cutting funding for the Special Olympics isn't another sign of the heartlessness of this administration, it's a wonderful cost-cutting measure to help pay for those tax cuts for rich people!

Saw that Betsy could sell one yacht and make enough to pay the Special Olympics budget and have enough left over to pay Manning’s buyout.

the holy trinity of fuckwads on here will defend

Quite simply, Trump and Betsy Devos are evil, unfeeling, ignorant cunts. They are basically subhuman.

That’s pretty outrageous and reckless.

They are perfectly human. Just far from our best selves.

This morning Devos tripled down and smirked throughout her trashing of handicapped people.

She is a disgusting pig. Wait a second, pigs have a conscience and she doesn't.

She said it was "twisted" to fight for these people.

Shameful

The move to try to cut Special Olympics funding is curious in light of the fact that the administration knew or should've known that there was no chance that Congress would sign on to defund the Special Olympians.

So, either Devos and the Trump team are the dumbest people on the planet for needlessly advocating an unpopular policy with no chance for success, but which would bring overwhelming criticism or they intentionally took this step knowing that it would be shot down, but somehow felt like this stance would help them politically (would not think even Trump's base would get behind the decision to defund the Special Olympics, but who knows).

If Trump and leading right-wing media commentators told them that defunding the Special Olympics was a good idea, I have little doubt that the great majority of Trumpites would find some way to rationalize and support the decision. Maybe Fox and QAnon (is there much of a difference nowadays?) will claim that the Special Olympics are some kind of sinister left-wing plot that's hiding child molesters or flag burners or people who kneel for the national anthem or something.

Welp, it's either that or grow the deficit!

There's just no other way to shrink it.

I don’t think that’s a safe assumption. Republicans don’t believe in publicly funding much besides “defense” and the wealthy.
