george lucas does not have control of the SW franchise

MEESA RELIEVED BIG TIME

LucasFilm is owned and controlled by the House of Mouse. Disney is not known for giving directors open-ended permission to do whatever their creative hearts desire (thus, the ongoing decline of Pixar since Disney bought it). George Lucas has nothing to do with it, he is just hanging out at Skywalker Ranch taking regular swims in the giant Scrooge McDuck pool of cash that Disney paid him for Lucasfilm.

Jurrasic World was fun and they hired him back for 2; safety not guaranteed was a fine indie flick,

he was just producer and writer on Henry, so YMMV

you have this backwards, fyi

Trevorrow was director on The Book of Henry, but did not write or produce. He's also not slated to direct Jurassic World 2 (though he did write it).

Seems like these anthology films have more to do with the story/screenplay than who's directing. Trevorrow should be fine for EpIX. For example, it's not like JJ Abrams (or anyone else) could've made the prequels any better.

Nah, he was the Director. The new JP was overrated. Safety Not Guaranteed just ok.

right, no way disney is letting things too far off the track with these films
