You can’t unilaterally accomplish much if you only control the House. Beyond your own investigations/oversight.

Sure, you can, and should, send up lots of good/decent legislation that will go nowhere in the Senate. Show you are trying and Trumpublicans are obstructing good things getting done.

You just made the case for investigations. The House can control investigations. Investigations make the news and keep Trump in check. Trying doesn’t get airtime. The way to stop the camps is investigating the money trail not funding it.
 
I thought no one could be as spineless as Paul Ryan but Lindsey Graham has proven me wrong a dozen times over. And much worse is that he’s actually racist like Trump.

People want politicians to work together, across the aisle even, to get good stuff done. Part of “trying” (or showing that you’re trying) is to write/propose/offer good legislation and invite others to join the effort even if you know they won’t.
