Bullshit Trump Says

Only one of the presidential candidates is actually a socialist, but since the right has just used that label to attack anyone who has progressive ideals it's not surprising that the lemmings like Brad regurgitate it.

After all, they're the types of awful "socialist, radical" programs that Democrats have turned into law over the years. What disasters they have been! And where are all these violent Democrats located, Angus? Do you actually follow current events, or just see a post and decide to do a drive-by troll hit for chuckles?
 
If Trump's ego wasn't so massive, he'd have a clear path to get out of all of his shit relatively unscathed. He could resign, blame the deep state, say he's walking away for the sake of the country and that leaving Pence as POTUS would help the country. Then, as soon as he's out, Pence gives him a blanket pardon for all crimes before and during his presidency.

The right has a victim as a hero. Trump walks away free and untouchable.

I doubt he's that strategic and his ego will say he'll beat it all to be re-elected.

Lol. You’re not fooling anyone. The first part of this post is completely inconsistent with your posting substance. I’m not gonna search your posts but you don’t get brownie points for saying he “says bullshit”, what, once a month? You rarely, if ever, call out trump for his fake news (like this Omar tweet which you’ve conveniently ignored), but are super quick to pop on here are make a super burn of the NYT or WaPo for something they may have gotten wrong yet corrected anyway. You don’t hold the president to the same standard As the NYT or WaPo, in fact you elevate him by not calling out his daily bullshit. So yea I call bullshit.

No doubt (he's nothing but a spoiled brat child himself, who happens to be 73), but no surprise. He has no class or sense of decency at all. Doesn't matter if it's a kid, senior citizen, decorated war veteran, whomever, he'll attack and ridicule anybody. At least he didn't give her one of his "special" derogatory nicknames. Although I suspect that's next.

And, for what it's worth, conservative media outlets have also been ridiculing her for the past couple of days. Yesterday The Daily Beast's Michael Knowles ridiculed her on Fox News as a "mentally ill Swedish child who is being exploited by her parents and by the international left." When a liberal guest told Knowles that "you’re a grown man and you’re attacking a child—shame on you,” Knowles repeated that she was "mentally ill" and being exploited by leftists and her family. Other right-wingers said that she needed "a spanking", Laura Ingraham compared her to the characters in the Stephen King movie Children of the Corn and said that she couldn't wait for the sequel, Children of the Climate, and the editor of The Federalist tweeted "We need to have a national conversation about the rising problem of arrogant teenage Swedes." And, of course, there's Trump's tweet. She's got more guts, intelligence, class, and ethics than any of them.
 
I'm gonna disagree here...you can't anoint a child as a face of the enviro movement and then use her age as a shield.
 
Where was the outrage from this board when the students from Covington HS were targeted and smeared by the left?

Or are kids/teenagers only off limits when promoting leftist causes? Because we know from past experience that a smirking white kid wearing a red MAGA hat deserves to have his life ruined.

Not using her age as a shield. She’s brilliant and motivated, and she wasn’t anointed anything. She took climate change by the balls by herself and has created an international movement out of it. You don’t have to agree with her, but it should not be condescending to her age that is the main argument against. Argue on the merits. Trump is incapable of that, and conservatives as a whole largely are incapable as well.

It seems as if conservatives have anointed her more than liberals have. There are plenty of adults arguing for climate change, yet conservatives mostly ignore them. When a kid comes out, makes the climate change argument, and gets some publicity they go batshit and attack her. It's one thing to attack her views, and another to call her mentally ill and compare her to a Stephen King horror movie. She does seem to be handling the criticism rather well, especially given that she's only 16. Which is more than one can say for her (much) older critics.

ETA: This also happened to the Stoneman Douglas HS shooting survivors who were speaking out for gun control. I remember a number of choice personal comments from conservatives about them as well, including that they were paid actors, and not sincere.

His life was ruined ? Tell us more about the ruination of his life, it sounds horrible. He can't get work or get educated or find love now?
 
Angus is so right. It's the left's fault that they held a bunch of HS kids accountable for their boorish behavior.
