Oh, they have no honorable moral core.
If the votes could be anonymous, they'd vote the fucker out of office.
They're all either pussies (who know better) or brainwashed degenerates (who don't).
Then stop supporting him unconditionally and making him stronger and more dangerous. I’m not sure I believe that. But if true, they only have themselves to blame.
Congress has made him untouchable.
Why wouldn’t you believe him. Most of the pub establishment was reluctant to support him in 2016. The problem for them is that base absolutely loved him. Republican voters were groomed for a candidate like him. They adore him unconditionally. He’s quite literally the man of their dreams.

^All of this. I've lost count of how many Trumpites I've heard or read saying something along the lines of "I love Trump because he actually stands up to those liberals and Democrats (or socialists or progressives, etc.) and gives it right back to them! Before Trump Republicans were losing, with him we're winning!" Many of them can never quite specify what "winning" means to them but my guess it boils down to the very things so many of them tell reporters they don't like about Trump, or are "uncomfortable" with - the endless tweets insulting individuals and whole groups of people, that he calls out and trashes in very personal ways LibDems and liberal Hollywood celebrities and 16-and-17-year-old girls like Greta Thunberg and anyone else that his base doesn't like. He's an old white male Republican's dream - filthy rich and loves to flaunt it in garish ways, younger hot trophy wife, watches Fox News and/or Business all day, a loudmouthed bigot and sexist, and just rants on social media all the time. They adore him.

Yes, they were.
Republicans over time increasingly built a base for power on a platform of dishonestly ginned up fear. Inflaming the misplaced moral outrage and prejudices of mostly ignorant people.
And the megalomaniac conman saw his chance and tacked Republican (“conservative”).
Thx Pubs.
I meant I’m not sure how much retiring pubs truly fear for their safety if they cross Trump vs just using that as an excuse to not make waves with their colleagues. And tax cuts and judges.
Don’t forget running government like a business.
I think it’s legit. These are the people who have lists of targets and punch people at rallies and yell and scream at reporters.
Think about it like a wrestler turning heel but in real life. They aren’t willing to risk the millions (and millions!) of the Trump’s fans turning on them.
Most also want a career after politics. Lobbying, writing, pundit...try? Etc. They are concerned their future earnings might be harmed by turning on the donald.
exactly but it's best to let the invisible hand of the Market handle the situtation
I do t even know which thread to post this in, but what the hell
Remember land mines? We’re bring in’ ‘em back, folks!
