Muslim ban already having effect

Can be please get rid of Bob2. He's gone from annoying alt-bot to aggressive thread spammer to now insulting one of our nicest posters with basically the worst word you could call a woman.

He really is a total POS with no redeeming value on the boards.

At least posters need to stop responding to him.

LOL. You mad.

You need to be exiled and not allowed back. This is just.....you need.....nvm

Congrats my overly sensitive special snowflake who flips out when encountering a difference of opinion from someone who is part of the reality based community.

Clearly Trump wanted to do this with as little warning as possible for maximum effect.

Mission accomplished.

Nice conjecture. What is happening now comes at a price to him too. He obviously ran a shit process. And, as a result, his order has been stopped and he looks like an idiot.

And there are actual questions that should be asked but are not being asked. As usual, public debates on this type of thing are just dumb because we do not demand facts from the press about process.

1 - Does he even need this order to examine the vetting process? I.e. - Is there something so fundamentally flawed in what is being asked today that it warrants a temporary halt?

2 - As the Obama administration vetted these 7 countries which are the basis of the order, why are some who oppose this order pushing a narrative that Trump excluded other nations? Should we start vetting other countries? Which ones? Why?

3 - What types of questions should be asked in vetting? What is in bounds and what is out of bounds when these questions are asked? What did the last administration ask? What is it that Trump's administration thinks should be asked and has not been asked?

4 - What are the exact critieria used to approve someone to enter the country?

better lock the panic room, the Moooslims are GONNA GET YA!!!!!

LOL The only ones freaking out are you folks and you know it. Most of you, including you, have admitted you're absolutely terrified of what Trump will do. Enjoy living in fear. :)

I wonder if Thon Maker (from Sudan) or other NBA players from Muslim countries in Africa will be allowed back into the US if they play a game in Toronto.

There was an article in the Washington Post today about this very issue.

Trump isn't even suggesting we are going to ban immigration permanently. So what is the point of this?

The point was obvious. At a time when we have a $20 trillion debt and millions of homeless and desperately poor people already in this country, whose needs are going unmet, we can't afford to take in and care for the world's poor, over 3 billion of which live on less than $2 per day. Do you disagree?

Whoever posted the tag "towelheads weep" should be banned.

Are you suggesting we are going to take in anything close to 3 billion people presently living on less than $2 a day? Again, what is the vetting process. Who are we seeking to admit and who are we seeking to exclude?

You didn't answer my question. And of course we aren't gonna take in 3 billion people. We'll take a miniscule percentage of them, often cherry picking the most capable people from that society, which contributes to a brain drain in the region, and pretend like we've done something to eliminate world poverty, while piling on the misery for our own unemployed, underemployed, poor, and homeless. Ultimately, we're taking resources from one disadvantaged group, that is already here, to give to another dosadvantaged group we're bringing in. It would be great if resources were limitless and everyone could be well taken care of, but that's not realistic. Especially when we've got a $20 trillion debt.
