Trump's Bullshit Trade Tantrums

Democrats resist using safe steel..

Leave it to a President who actually knows Engineering codes and standards to want cheap Chinese Shit from flooding the market.

Leave it to hypocrite Left Wingers to cry for “Standards” to side with Communist China. Stupid buttholes.

Stace told Construction Manager: “If there are plates and sections with elevated levels, then they’re mislabelled. I haven’t got any evidence of mislabelled plates and sections, but knowing exporters are adding these elements to steel, it could be non-compliant.”

But the issues have been clouded by a row between UK Steel and the International Steel Trade Association, which represents firms importing rebar into the UK from China, Turkey and other producer countries.

ISTA has argued that the Chinese rebar imported by its members meets all current quality standards – namely BS 4449:2005 and the CARES standard – and that UK Steel’s efforts to highlight potential problems could be interpreted as a response to the rising tide of Chinese steel imports. In 2014, it's thought that at least a third of the rebar used in the UK was imported from China.

But he isn't doing anything to assure the quality coming in. According to you, he is just making Americans pay a premium for cheap steel.
People aren't siding with China, they are siding with what they think is best for Americans.

The concept that Trump "Leave it to a President who actually knows Engineering codes and standards to want cheap Chinese Shit from flooding the market." Or that he opposes the use of Chinese steel are DIRECTLY shown to be total BS in that he has used Chinese steel over higher quality U.S. steel over and over and over again.

Leave it to a President who actually knows Engineering codes and standards to want cheap Chinese Shit from flooding the market.

Like everything else Trump says, this is total lies.

i have lectro on ignore, like any sane person should, but the idea that Trump knows any "engineering codes or standards" is hilarious. He pays people to do that for him, or more likely, hires them and then doesn't pay them.

I guess he knows enough about them to lobby against those bullshit sprinklers that help stop fires and prevent deaths.

You can't handle the truth.

Is safe steel like clean coal?

A myth?

Find out with Tucker Carlson, tonight.

So China blinks today on trade, lowers tariffs on American cars and budges on protecting intellectual property and not even a post on it today?

BEIJING (AP) — Investors and China watchers welcomed President Xi Jinping’s pledge Tuesday to open his country’s market wider to foreign competition, hoping it will ease a trade dispute with Washington that has unsettled financial markets and could jeopardize a global economic expansion.

Xi’s vow to cut Chinese auto tariffs, allow more competition in banking and better protect intellectual property calmed investors who have been on edge since the world’s two biggest economies last week announced plans to slap tariffs on $50 billion worth of each other’s products.[/quote]

Seems like Trade wars are, in fact, easy to win.

Ben Sasse's statement:

"The best thing the United States can do to push back against Chinese cheating now is to lead the other eleven Pacific nations that believe in free trade and the rule of law. It is good news that today the President directed Larry Kudlow and Ambassador Lighthizer to negotiate the U.S. entry into TPP."

Greetings, eleven other nations. Please let us into your deal so we can lead you.

In other words, Trump bluffed the nations of the TPP by threatening to leave, they called it and let us leave. Trump scrambled to compensate by raising tariffs, China called that bluff (or just plain stupid move). Now we're scrambling back into the TPP that will undoubtedly have stricter demands from us than there were. Master negotiator indeed...

How is right wing media spinning this?

It was all just convenient bullshit, yapping against the TPP. It was too easy to smear it as an
Obama debacle and pretend to be some savior.

Yep. Bernie did it too and Hillary didn’t stand her ground.
