Didn't want to create a thread for this, but this from Jon Stewart in front of Congress and on behalf of 9/11 first responders is worth watching.

 
 
Mitch and Pelosi have basically neutered Congress. Mitch is a rubber stamp and Pelosi refuses to do anything about it.

This just stinks like a Saudi (and Israeli?) ploy to go to war with Iran. Would not surprise at all if SA planting all these explosives and faking the video crap.

And Trump and his folks (especially) seem eager to go along.
 
 
Trump's exit from the nuclear deal and the sanctions he put in place is effectively declaring war on Iran. Trump is supposed to know about being a "counter-puncher". That's all Iran is doing.

His irrational actions have strengthened the hard right leaders in Iran not weakened them.
 
Hey we've also helped overthrow Iran's democratically elected leader before in the interest of protecting Western investment in oil!

A senator saying “constrain @potus from responding” is pretty scary. The President shouldn’t be declaring war. Yet another example of Senate Republicans ceding power to the President.

Oh, this is entirely on Trump.

Idiot-In-Chief went against the whole freaking world (almost) in unilaterally breaking the deal with Iran and imposing crippling sanctions. Stupidly driven by his reality-disrupting egoism to imagine he’d get them to easily/quickly sign on to further concessions/restrictions.

Now we’re inching closer to open and likely escalating and protracted conflict.
