Wake Forest Football Recruiting

4 of the top 100 kids in the initial 2022 rankings are from NC. 2 from Charlotte, 1 from Greensboro, and 1 from Shelby. Would be awesome if we could continue to build momentum and land one (or more).

The Greensboro kid already has offers from Alabama and Georgia, so probably not him.

5 star from Monroe, NC, Shaleak Knotts, holds offers from Vandy, Virginia, etc. but not WF. Doubt WF will chase these top 4 unless they get wind there is some interest.

Has Clawson ever offered a 5-star? There are only 25-35 a year.

Unlike our moronic basketball coach, Clawson does not waste energy, money or time pursuing kids he knows will not come to WFU

There are some good reasons to invest a little effort in the local five star kids.
Get the pub from kid tweeting about the offer.

Opportunity/excuse to schmooze with the players' coaches and team mates.

Possible pickup of team mates. Five stars don't usually exist in a sea of one stars. These guys should have some 3 or 4 star team mates.

Wake might get lucky. Can't win if you don't enter. Being local, might get an unofficial visit that grows into something more.

Wow! I wonder if DC has thought of these ancillary benefits? Thanks for sharing Db.

I guess we need another WR. This could be a nudge for a guy sitting on the fence.

Biff would be pissed.

Would be nuts to flip a UGA commit from an hour away from Athens especially a 4* 6-4 WR.

Biff would be fine. Biff doesn't want him going to Florida, Auburn, or Alabama. Or Ga Tech.

Although, the Dawgs are currrently inrebuilding mode at WR, depending on who steps up this year with Hardman, Godwin, Ridley, and Holleman all gone, as well as Nauta. Also, no guarantee if Fromm will be there for his freshman year. Lots of playing time to offer in Athens though.
