Wake Forest Football Recruiting

Gosnell leaving UNC but we are loaded at WR. Should have picked WF when offered. Prob going to VT.

I would think a 2023 good quality LB prospect would give WF a really hard look with the coaching changes on Defense at WF. The obvious PT is here and the need is great.

Who was Lambert the lead on recruiting to Purdue, and what about James Adams?

2023 OT from Delaware. Offers from MD, Pitt, and Temple.

6-5 260 as a HS Junior. Looks athletic. Guessing other schools will try to get involved now that WF has offered.

Also an offer out to 23 OT Nolan McConnell. 6-7, 260. From Colonial Forge HS, Stafford, VA.

A '22 wide receiver commitment? Walkon?

ETA: In your face.......Stetson?

6-4 receiver from Greenville, SC. WF was the first Power V to offer. Liberty had offered. Not clear if as a PWO, but given a scholarship limitations, needs at other positions and depth at that spot, would think PWO.

Wake getting 3 star pwos with scholarships offers elsewhere. New world.

There are very few P5 schools that would be a better place for a WR than Wake.

If he wants to become a great wide receiver, the Higgins School for Wide Receivers is the place to go.

Griffis, Hall, Swindell and Johnson enrolled early and confirmation that Turner is enrolled as a transfer. Would obviously like to see as many early enrollees as possible but getting all the linemen and the QB in is key since those are the positions that will benefit the most. Linemen for S&C and QB for learning the offense.

That is good news.

There is a commercial that talks about football not calling plays after the snap. However, in the RPO, that is exactly what happens. During the mesh, the QB is reading the defense and calls the "play" during that time. He can call RB run, QB pass or QB run. That puts a lot on the QB to learn. Sam is really good after doing it for four years. The young QBs need practice time.

It would be good for progression if Wake has some blowout wins so the young guys can get game reps making reads.

That would require Clawson letting them make reads rather than just run out the clock.

Griffis bros are short for QBs so I'm wondering how effective they'll be when they throw the ball 1 yd behind the LOS, as our offense requires
