When I post a quick reply, it takes me back to the thread without my reply. I have learned just to move on and know that when I come back my post will be there, but it's a little odd.

Hmm I can't reproduce (both of these posts were quick replies and showed just fine right after posting them), if you get a chance can you share your browser version/etc and if you have any sort of adblockers or script blockers running?

IE 11.0.42, and I'm using ABP. Not all that concerned about it since I know what to do, so if it's just me then don't sweat it. Thanks!
