Totally Unofficial 2017/18 Premier League Thread (NWT)

Sorry to see his career end prematurely but his health is the most important thing. Glad he's made it through and best of luck to him, his fiancee, and their baby. Hopefully he'll land a gig in another footballing capacity.

That may be the end of Lacazette at Arsenal. Never was effective.

After Poch expressed concern over Rochdale's pitch and Dale's chairman took offense, they've laid down a brand new one. Good! Hopefully no injuries this weekend.

Good for Dale. Getting tired of Dele going down so easily in the box. Would have preferred Spurs had just won the match with their quality, though. We have a tendency to make the minnows look great.

Sounds like #TOBY may be on his way out the door, which is sad but I get it. He's 29, has been injured the last two seasons, and wants one more big contract (~150k/wk), bigger than what Spurs will offer with their wage structure (~110k/wk + bonuses). Probably best to give raises to the attacking band (reports that the contracts of Eriksen, Kane, Dele, and Son are all going to be renegotiated) and reinvest in youth after hopefully selling Tobes high. Rumors of Ryan Sessegnon persist, which would be nice.

What's amazing is that he's been on 50k/wk this entire time as one of the very best CBs in the PL.
