The Official John Collins ROY Watch thread

Hopefully they go out and find a true point guard rather than the Schroeder the ball hog...particularly one that has perfected the pick and roll game since John is basically unguardable in that.
 
Think last night's 21 makes it back to back career high nights for John, with 18 against the C's the other day. He's certainly coming on now that Tyler Cavanaugh is roaming the hardwood perimeter and creating lots of extra space for Collins! ;-)

JC got his first start tonight vs. Blake and the Clips. 2 pts, a reb, 2 ast in 6 min so far.
 
Ended with 14, 10 boards, 3 assists. 4 fouls. Was 7/9 shooting against Blake and deandre.
 
The recap of the game said this:

Rookie F John Collins, the 19th overall draft pick, made his first career start and finished with 14 points and team highs with 10 rebounds and 38 minutes. Collins got the nod with back tightness still bothering Luke Babbitt, but he could hold the job the rest of the season given that he's shooting over 58 percent from the field and consistently plays above the rim.

Question is does he keep the 36MPG when say Luke Babbitt and the rest get healthy.
 
His PER last year was better than the brow and lamarcus cousins among others. He was criminally underrated last year and in the draft.

Watching him play vs the Knicks. He's involved in every possession now it seems.
