The rubes won’t read it and those who do don’t care. At this point, they’re in on it. They don’t care about the self-dealing and corruption as long as they own the libs. No way does the average Liberty student care that they’re not allowed to dance but the president of the university was partying it up at a Miami nightclub. They signed on for this.
For the past 21 years, Browarnik has photographed Miami nightlife. Because of his trusted reputation as a photographer, he thought it was important to quickly quash Falwell’s accusation.
“That’s why I have an archive of five million photos,” Browarnik told me. “That’s why we catalog everything.”
While reviewing images from the night in question, Browarnik discovered several previously unpublished photos from that evening in which Jerry Falwell Jr. and other members of the Falwell family can be seen—including Jerry’s wife, Becki, sons Trey and Wesley, and Trey’s wife, Sarah. In the images, the Falwells can be seen in the middle of the club’s dance floor while lasers and other light effects reflect around them. In at least two photos, Falwell family members can be seen holding alcohol. (Liberty University is notoriously strict about alcohol consumption, and students can receive demerits for co-ed dancing and be expelled for drinking.)
Browarnik told me that while the photographer who took the images of the Falwell family no longer works for his company, they took meticulous notes on the photo subjects, as all of his photographers do. Among those notes: the name Trey Falwell, which accompanied a photo of Sarah and Trey Falwell on World Red Eye’s original post of the images in 2014.
How self-important and arrogant do you have to be to think someone would photoshop you into Miami nightclub pictures
The 12 defendants, including the Rev. Victor Gonzalez, former pastor of Imperial Valley Ministries who the authorities say oversaw the conspiracy, were arrested this week in San Diego, El Centro, Calif., and Brownsville, Tex. They are all charged with conspiring to commit forced labor, document servitude and benefits fraud.
The top charges they face carry the maximum possible penalties of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Federal investigators began looking into the church, which was not registered as a nonprofit entity, in 2017 — after several people broke free and contacted the authorities.
In one instance, a 17-year-old Mexican-American woman from El Paso, who had been locked inside one of the group homes — a beige bungalow in El Centro — escaped by throwing a dresser drawer through a window, climbing atop broken glass shards and running — while bleeding — to a neighboring house, according to the indictment, which was unsealed on Tuesday.
The young woman, referred to as P.P. in the indictment, was recruited into the organization after getting out of a bad relationship and believed “nice church people” were giving her a good opportunity, according to Assistant United States Attorney Christopher Tenorio, who is prosecuting the case.
But after arriving in El Centro, she was not allowed to call her father, could not leave without supervision and was ordered to read only the Bible and “not to discuss things of the world,” the authorities said.
Some of the victims — most of whom were homeless — were ordered to “fundraise” on the streets for hours at a time, handing out religious brochures and Pixy Sticks in exchange for money.
In some cases, victims agreed to give up to 40 percent of their monthly government food allowance to pay for expenses. But according to prosecutors, church leaders took all of it, gave the benefits to people who did not qualify and prevented rightful recipients from applying for jobs.
If they resisted or said they would leave, leaders threatened to take away their children, deny them transportation home and told them that their loved ones had rejected them and that “only God” loved them, according to prosecutors. Others were forced to hand over personal property, passports and immigration papers to ensure they would not leave, prosecutors said.
No surprise, but more dirt on Jerry Falwell, Jr. has emerged. Not only is he a scam artist, sex pervert, and hypocrite of the highest order, he's apparently also a dick to work with as well. Reuters recently obtained emails that show that Falwell has been ridiculing and disparaging Liberty students and staff since he became the school's president in 2008. When a group of Liberty students wanted to use a gym that Falwell wanted kept limited for use only to himself, family members, and university executives, Falwell ridiculed them as "social misfits" in an email. He called another student "physically retarded", emailed that the Dean of the Liberty Engineering school was "a bag of hot air" who "couldn't spell the word profit", and called a Liberty campus police chief a "half-wit" who was "easily manipulated", among other things. What a great Christian family man and moral example he is!
Seems consistent with Trump Christianity
