Did Trump insult widow of Niger GI?

How far removed from reality do you have to be to believe this actually happened? I can't tell where to plot this on the Derangement Scale. Is this before, after or between "Russia!!!!!!1111" or "Rubes Just Don't Understand My Brilliance!!!!1111"?

You're asking how hard it is to believe that a man who said, "I know words, I have the best words" would struggle to find the right words to comfort a grieving widow?

True. Unfortunately the "piece of shit" running against him wasn't one of those tens of thousands.

You mean "pieces." He beat 16 Republicans in the primary. The rest of the GOP lets him get away with this mess.

Several families of dead soldiers were never called by Trump.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...tics-of-honoring-war-dead-20171018-story.html

The Associated Press reached out to the families of all 43 people who have died in military service since Trump became president and made contact with about half the families. Of those who would address the question, relatives of nine said they had heard from Trump by phone or mail. Relatives of nine others said they haven't.

And then the story behind the $25K. Trump promised it to a soldier's dad who was mad the mom was the soldier's beneficiary.

According to Chris Baldridge, the father of Army corporal Dillon Baldridge, who was killed by an Afghan police officer on June 10, the president told him, “I’m going to write you a check out of my personal account for $25,000.” Baldridge, a construction worker, had reportedly “expressed frustration” with the fact that his ex-wife would be receiving the Pentagon’s $100,000 “death gratuity,” when he was struggling to get by, and Trump, who knows a thing or two about ex-wives, took the opportunity to brag about his generosity. “No other president has ever done something like this [but] I’m going to do it,” he said.

Struggle to find the right words? Sure. I believe that.

Say that? No. I don't believe that.

How far removed from reality do you have to be to believe that Trump is an asshole? This is the same guy that shat on John McCain’s military service and the mother of a soldier killed in combat during the campaign.

So I'm a little bit confused. Do we have to accept the account of grieving families of dead soldiers? Or does that only apply to Benghazi when it was Democrat politicians that were talking to them? It'll be interesting to see if this grieving family ends up getting paraded around on talk shows of the equivalent of Sean Hannity and ends up speaking at the Democratic National Convention.

Really? Nothing this guy does or say would surprise me. He called White Supremacists "very fine people." He pulled that bullshit pronunciation of Puerto Rico to get a rise out of people. Why draw the line at fallen soldiers?

He’s publicly shat on fallen soldiers in the past, why draw the line at this instance? It’s perfectly rational to use past experiences to make inference about the present and predict the future when the truth is uncertain. In this case, it is completely believable that Trump disrespected a fallen soldier because he’s done it before.

Yeah, Mr. Benghazi all of a sudden deciding not to believe the family of a fallen soldier is a curious turn, to say the least.

I assumed jh would ultimately renounce his membership in the Republican Party because of Trumpism. Maybe this is a sign he has decided to turn into the skid instead.

You can get a #MAGA hat for pretty cheap, I hear. It will match your hair.

Strange times, indeed. I guess we must take all libporn at face value. I didn't mean to interrupt the fapping. Carry on.

In my world, it is possible that a Democrat politician would lie and exploit the death of a fallen serviceman.

is this the same world where similar things happen to other tragedies involving US service members in Africa?

Well Donald Trump should be able to quickly clear this up with the proof that he claims to have.
