BBall Recruiting Thread 2k19 - Charles Coleman de-commits to Wake. :(

Would be nice to get not only a grad-transfer shooting specialist (a la Arians), but also a sophomore transfer with some upside, who can be ready to go in 2019-20, especially if it's a versatile type guard with some size and range to help Chill, Sharone and Lewis \ whomever in the back court. At least as a hedge against not getting a stud PG in the 2019 class. And if Lewis doesn't pan out, not to worry as much.

You mean leave the program or play basketball? Because we just went through that ordeal.

So basically we need 2016-17 Arians and Woods.

Welcome Christian. We should play the William Tell overture during intros for the "Lorng Ranger"

Pretty much, or would we be better off taking our chances on filling 3 roster spots, or more, for the 2019 class?

Just seems like we could be setting ourselves up for trouble in 2019-20 with a team that has only 1 SR (Chill), 2 JRs (Brown & Sarr), 3 sophs (2 that garner the most minutes) and a bunch of freshmen to fill out the roster? Seems like we'd be dangerously thin on depth for two straight years. But you might want more experience to bridge the gap as protection against Hoard turning pro early?

I assume someone has drawn the parallel to Rondale by now?

There's a Rondale out there somewhere to fill this class with.

Of course not. Nor do I see him contributing major minutes in year 2, 3, or 4. Or year 5. So why the hell would you redshirt him? He's Manning's Rondale (393 ranked desperation commit). We're getting stuck with him as Manning is likely on his way out. Why would you commit to giving him five years?

DID WE JUST GET A COMMIT FROM LORNG?!?!?

My bad.

Unless he is injured, I SERIOUSLY doubt he will be red shirted as they need him for minutes next season with Sam gone. Also what happens when Doral Moore puts his name in the draft and IF someone decides to take a flyer on him? We would definitely need someone then and I think this guy fills a need whether Doral leaves or not. He likely will not set the world on fire but I believe he can contribute in certain areas next season, we shall see. (let me add that I think Doral is in NO way ready for the pros but what we think does not matter because he will put his name out there to find out)

If we are looking at his offers in rivals, they aren’t that bad tbh

If no one else leaves or transfers and we a add a grad transfer shooter this is Mannings most talented team. Not sure why we shouldnt win 20 games. If Manning cant win next year he never will.
