First Charges Filed in Mueller Investigation

Stupid sexy Cohen.

This is so awesome

Mott Romney is there as a bulwark. Also, he hates Russia and will never side with Trump for Russia.

Unless people are being mean to Mitt or paying him.

The Russian TV network really liked your vote to protect Deripaska.

Way to keep your word Mitt!!

Remember how Rex Tillerson, the non politician, was chosen for SoS out of nowhere and even he was like wtf?

So much shady shit with trump that gets buried by other shady shit and forgotten.

Just because Tillerson's half a trillion dollar deal with Russia was on hold due to sanctions doesn't mean he was conflicted.

The history of this is going to be amazing. We are going to look back and see how Russia was taking over the GOP out in the open while Republicans were worrying about Hillary’s emails and transgenders in bathrooms and confederate monuments and NFL players kneeling.

You’re assuming that the state of Texas eventually has less influence on writing the history books?

That’s always the positive assumption.

Agree with this provided A. as mentioned above, Republican states don’t write their own version of events for textbooks and B. the US information ecosystem crowds out Russia’s continuous misinformation.

There are still a lot of people who believe the US government created the HIV/AIDS virus. Misinformation is a hell of a drug.

The Reagan administration didn’t create it but they did nothing but mock it as a gay disease while the rest of the religious right treated it as God’s punishment.

Yeah but that’s a separate issue from the Soviet government spreading false information.

Regardless, i agree that the history of this period (for many reasons) will be something else. Fortunately I sleep well at night knowing I won’t have to explain to my grandkids why their grandpa defended a Russian stooge (witting or unwitting).

NPR had a small talk about this (Russia and AIDS created in a US Government Lab) a few weeks back. They said that it was first seen in some Indian and Brazilian newspapers and slowly gained traction. The news got out and the later retractions were back page news.

I think that long term, Trump will probably just be viewed in the larger historical narrative of racial division in America. A few hundred years from now, what we view as the Civil Rights movement will likely be seen as a much larger period of time.

Priorities!

This will be viewed as the Second Reconstruction.

Hopefully the second time around we don’t have a President who openly sabotages it and lets the wounds fester for decades resulting in things returning to how the were, just without being able to literally own people (figuratively speaking)

Not sure what you mean by “hopefully.” That’s exactly what Trump was elected to do.
