50% of millennials would rather live in socialist, communist countries

Well if you owed 300K in student loans for an education that cost 30K a generation ago, wouldn't you want to radically change the economic system too?

If you owed 300K in student loans, your a dumbass for going to a private school without the means to pay for it. I don't value that persons opinion on the economy.

So what are their choices then?

Cuba/China/Venezuela/Nicaragua?

Feel free move.

In the words of the late, great Southern raconteur Lewis Grizzard, "Delta is ready when you are."

But you may want to hurry since air travel will be outlawed in 10 years along with cow flatulence.

The boards already has a syphilitic Mike Huckabee for jokes we can’t handle anymore from that genre.

Ok, so you owe $100K for going to a state school that would have cost you $15K 40 years ago.

Most of the gasses actually come from their mouths

UNC tuition is 8.5K a year. If you get up into three figure debt range then your a dumbass.

When I was in school the UNC school system was at 6k a year, my total living expenses for housing and meals were at 14K a year. I took out 7K a semester. So if we ramp that up for increased tuition to lets say 18K a year for a North Carolina in state expense. That's a total debt figure of somewhere around 72K if you pay for NOTHING the entire 4 years in school.

If you can't pay that off then you picked a bad major.

Ahh, so you can and should only go to state school in the state where you already live. Otherwise you’re a dumbass. I desperately want my kids to go to school somewhere other than Alabama, but I guess that makes me dumb.

The point was the increase over a few decades ago. $72K in debt is way the fuck more than it was 40 years ago, especially when you’d have to work 60hrs a week at a minimum wage job to pay rent in a college town. But all that is really just how natural selection works in a capitalist economy, so suck it up dumbasses.

Only those (read MILLENNIALS) who have done NOTHING for themselves think that...typical...Birdman and Townie blame everyone but yourselves.
Maybe this is your problem:

College tuition increases immensely in the last 20 years: millennials are dumbasses
Entry level jobs require 4-year degree for $10 an hour: millennials are dumbasses
Any job above entry level requires at least some postgrad which costs tens of thousands no matter where you go: millennials are dumbasses
Paid internships fade out to be replaced by unpaid internships to get the required experience to get a non entry level job: millennials are dumbasses

Did I about sum it up, whatabout?

I agree that if you don’t have parents who can send you, definitely go to the best public school you can.

What entry level jobs are only paying $10 an hour? Company I am working for is throwing cash at qualified 4 year students coming out of college. I think people don't realize how good the job market is coming out of school with the right majors.

95% of millennials have no idea what it would mean to live in a totally socialist or communist country.

Entry level accounting jobs are at least 50k. You need a masters for ideal career progression but it is 4 plus 1

This is really what is boils down to, millennial's think socialism = free health care and college while both those things are perfectly capable of happening in a capitalist country.

Seems like a good current path is to go to community college and transfer in. My nephew had mediocre hs grades went to watauga cc and transferred into unc. Alot cheaper too.
