This is a bad idea for LiAngelo. He wasn't as highly regarded as his brothers. He needs to play and get some exposure that doesn't come from his dad.
 
Steve Alford is probably stoked because now he does not have to deal with the Balls anymore but doesn't get the bad publicity of pulling a scholarship.

Probably not. However, after LiAngelo gets no professional interest, not even from the worst of the worst Euro leagues, and is at home picking his nose a year from now, maybe LaVar will smarten up a bit re:LaMelo. Probably not, though.
