Not a laughing matter over there like it is here. They could finally come back home with fingers missing since those are what "took" the shop lifted items. They are more of an "eye for an eye" type country. They better not try smoking any weed or urinating in public.

Hard to grasp how stupid this is. You know good and damn well that each team was coached and prepared in how to behave in China, and they all would have been seriously warned qbout the consequences of committing a crime or being disrespectful.

Big Baller Brand must not be doing well.

Trump will leave those dudes to rot in jail.

Just incredibly stupid. They deserve all they have coming to them. Ugly American behavior.

These dudes gonna be stuck in China for a while?

I mean, no, they don't deserve 10 years in prison or the death penalty for shoplifting, nor to lose hand or any other body part.

From the above linked article:

The alleged theft occurred at a Louis Vuitton location near the hotel the team was staying at, per Goodman.

So it sounds like it wasn't just a pack of gum or some low dollar item.

Sentence suspended if they agree to play for the Chinese National Team. All's fair in love, war and recruiting.

Liangelo was probably going to play there eventually anyway.

They aren't looking at hand chopping. That's middle east type stuff. They would be looking at prison time.

LiAngelo Ball has a Ferrari. I'm pretty fucking sure those kids can get Louis Vutton in Los Angeles. I know 18 year olds can do stupid shit, but a rich kid shoplifting in China... that's up there.

Breaking News: UCLA has just broken their recent $280 million dollar Under Armour apparel sponsorship contract, and has signed a 50 year contract with Chinese apparel company Li Ning

No, obviously not, but when in Rome, you play by Roman rules and not our pathetic and lax rules that people always break. If you steal a $1 item of gum,a $100 shirt off a rack or $1 million by embezzling, it is still stealing and needs to be punished, but we seem to let everybody off. We shall see when all this settles out what the Chinese do and what our State Dept do.
