Interesting map for those planning a trip abroad

I've spent time in every rating level sans insignificant :noidea:
 
Is Mexico really that bad right now? Was in Playacar last year at this time and felt virtually 100% safe. Heading to Cabo in January, and have heard that there have been some shootings/kidnappings between the Cartels that have spilled over into public places, but nothing targeting Americans/tourists specifically. We'll be at an AirBnB in a really nice, gated neighborhood, FWIW.
