Your first sentence is true but, to be fair, many idiots think the players are protesting the flag and therefore soldiers. These idiots think that because that's what some idiot on Fox or talk radio said and the listeners never bothered to listen to the actual protesters statements about the protest. It's the same crap with BLM, some idiot said that BLM was about black supremacy and was therefore bullshit because all lives matter not just black ones, but they never bothered to listen to the actual protesters.

But TV pundits like this little twat, who are married to politicians, know exactly what is being protested - as do the other 60% of NFL watchers who aren't mouth-breathing middle-American dirtbag shithead embarrassments to humanity.

EDIT: if you don't hear the reason, or you hear the bullshit reasons - its because you don't want to understand it and don't want to listen to the actual protesters and you believe they don't deserve to protest. No one gets a pass. Ignorance is no excuse for the law, it shouldn't be an excuse for this.
