Bullshit Fox News Says

All this arguing over healthcare, and it takes Phil Robertson one minute to solve it!

Same as junebug commenting on medical procedures, it’s his right as a member of society.

Mindset rubes genuinely think people have: "Aw man, if they're going to tax the wealthy, then nobody is going to want to be a billionaire."

I mean, it's not even regular Fox News, it's Fox Business, which one would (apparently incorrectly) think was a little more serious.

My parents watch Fox Business frequently in the mornings whenever I'm visiting, and it's just as bad as Fox News. Stuart Varney and Lou Dobbs are no better than Hannity or Carlson or Ingraham, imo. They just add in a little stock market news or speak to some conservative investment experts or play up the latest job numbers or economic growth and give Trump all the credit, and talk about how bad Democrats are for the economy.

Tucker Carlson compares Stacey Abrams' stance on diversity to the Jim Crow South

TUCKER CARLSON (HOST): Demagoguery like this would make a certain kind of sense if your only interest was in winning elections and you didn't care about what happened afterward. That's where Democrats are right now. The Democratic Party is a highly unstable collection of interest groups, many of them with radically different interests and goals. It's not a natural coalition. There's no reason all of these groups should be voting for the same candidates in every election. The only way to keep a fractious group like this together is by inventing a common enemy that everyone can oppose. You're one of us if you hate these people.

Now this often works in the short term. It worked for Democrats in the Jim Crow South for about a hundred years, and that's why they still do it. The problem is that these people, these dominant groups, as Stacey Abrams says, aren't some foreign invader from a far away land. They're your countrymen. You're not supposed to hate them or hurt them or revolt against them -- they is us. We're in this together. We're all Americans. That's the most important thing -- really, the only important thing. Stacey Abrams doesn't see it that way, neither do the leaders of her party. They think they can win the next election by telling Americans they must hate their neighbors for the color of their skin. It's possible this will work one more time. But then what happens, after the election? Abrams doesn't answer that question in her piece, she doesn't care, but the rest of us should think about it. No election is worth the hatred and the division of identity politics, not if you plan to live here anyway.

So the Fox News logic is a party made up of people from various backgrounds isn't a "natural coalition" like the homogeneous white Republican party, so they have to hate white people. And this is the same strategy used by homogeneous whites during Jim Crow when they made laws aimed at curbing the rights of people from various backgrounds.

LOL OK.

They constantly project their own views, words, and actions onto liberals. Every. Single. Time. Division? Identity Politics? "Not supposed to hate or hurt" your "fellow countrymen" because they're your fellow citizens? Tucker should look at his own party, and especially his beloved POTUS, who doesn't appear to agree with anything Tucker writes in this little opinion piece. Tucker represents a party whose base, judging from voting results, is roughly 90-95% white and which seems to regard the racial, gender, religious, and sexual orientation diversity of the Democratic coalition as a mortal threat. But no, it's Stacey Abrams and others like her who are pushing "hatred" and "divisiveness." LOL.

It’s an ad for a documentary.

Fox continues their obsession with AOC - all three of their top stories this evening have been attacks on AOC. I think someone posted awhile ago that they dreaded to see what would happen to AOC in the news media when she started dating. Fox's top story is "Problem.gov" and says that AOC's boyfriend has a congressional email account. And also two more stories presenting her as the driving force behind Amazon moving its planned HQ out of NYC (she wasn't, but that fact doesn't fit the narrative). Since AOC arrived on the scene, it does seem as if the number of Fox stories on Hillary and even Pelosi have declined. I guess that Fox has indeed found its new successor to Hillary.

That’s hilarious. Tucker invited a guest who had the balls to tell the global elites they needed to pay more taxes and guess what? He had the balls to tell the conservative elites they needed to pay more taxes too.

The folks on here who hate echo chambers are going to be really angry at Tucker for not airing this interview !

Tucker was so excited about his anti-globalism. Sad!

Step back for a second. Imagine how dumb Tucker or his producer have to be to watch the clip of that dude at Davos and think he wouldn't say the same exact thing about millionaires and billionaires in the US.
