Bullshit Fox News Says

'Fox & Friends' host says the media's Trump coverage is 'anti-American'

“Fox & Friends” suggested without evidence Monday the New York Times sat for six months on last week's report that President Trump tried to fire special counsel Robert S. Mueller III in June 2017.

According to Trump's favorite morning show, the media routinely times major stories to inflict maximum damage on the president. This conspiracy theory holds that the Mueller scoop was meant to detract from Trump's participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos. The theory also holds that the press will drop another bomb this week to take away from Trump's sure-to-be-stellar State of the Union address.

I guess that’s the evolution of “yea, it’s true, so what?” They are really arguing “Trump did something bad, but what’s important is that the media told everyone at a time that upstaged Trump !”

they are the goddamn media, too. for fuck's sake, you can't be more "mainstream" than by far the #1 news network in the country.

Geraldo said this as a compliment.

Fox News VP Bemoans Diverse U.S. Olympic Team: "Darker, Gayer, Different"

Unless it’s changed overnight, the motto of the Olympics, since 1894, has been “Faster, Higher, Stronger.” It appears the U.S. Olympic Committee would like to change that to “Darker, Gayer, Different.” If your goal is to win medals, that won’t work.

A USOC official was quoted this week expressing pride (what else?) about taking the most diverse U.S. squad ever to the Winter Olympics. That was followed by a, frankly, embarrassing laundry list of how many African-Americans, Asians and openly gay athletes are on this year’s U.S. team. No sport that we are aware of awards points – or medals – for skin color or sexual orientation.

Jesse Owens won gold in Berlin over 80 years ago and we are still fighting this mess.

Now it’s “political correctness” be happy that the US is closer to getting the best athletes regardless of race rather than just the best white people.

Can the anti-diversity crowd name a sports league that got less talented once minorities joined?

That's a pretty good question to ask.

I remember reading in one of David Halberstam's baseball books (at least I think it was Halberstam), that a major reason many mediocre white players were so opposed to integrating Major League Baseball was their fear that allowing more talented black players to participate would push them out of the league. Which, of course, is basically what happened - yet the overall quality and talent of the sport no doubt increased greatly beginning in the late 1940s and 1950s. It's not all that different from the traditional, historic fears of many lower-class Southern whites that if blacks really did achieve equality, they might well be left behind and find themselves at the very bottom of the social pyramid, with no one left to look down on and feel superior to.

It’s a really weird coincidence that all these bad people keep popping up affiliated with the trump administration. That guy is just terribly unlucky. I feel bad for him.
