Susan Collins was clearly lied to by McConnell and Trump to get her vote for the tax scam bill. She was promised a fair hearing and vote on Alexander-Murray which is totally dead now. Trump/WH clearly didn't tell her one the main purposes of this bill was to repeal ACA by eliminating the mandate which Collins absolutely opposes.

She was intentionally lied to while McConnell gave millions of dollars to Corker to buy his vote. It would be logical to be very insulted.

She could become the most powerful person in the Senate by becoming an Independent who caucuses withe Dems like fellow Maine Senator Angus King. The people of Maine don't care about D, R or I.

If Collins frames it that she is protecting the health care and lives of the people of Maine and that she was lied to, she wouldn't lose an appreciable number of votes.

By doing this, she could command Schumer to give her the co-chair of any committee she chooses.

Collins was in on it from the beginning. She wasn't duped -- she's trash.
 
Collins isn't dumb, she understood what repealing the individual mandate would mean and she was fully aware that it was in the tax bill.

Susan Collins Moves The Goalposts (Again) On Her Health Care Demands

When Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) first announced she would support the GOP tax bill that killed Obamacare’s individual mandate, she insisted that three separate health care measures to prop up the Affordable Care Act and protect Medicare recipients be passed before she cast her vote. She then amended her demand, saying the bills had to pass before the tax bill came back from the House-Senate conference committee. She then insisted — after voting for the tax bill — that the policies pass by the end of 2017. When it became clear that wasn’t possible in the face of staunch opposition from House conservatives, she expressed confidence they would become law in January.

Now, Collins is moving the goalposts yet again.

In an interview with Inside Health Policy published Thursday, Collins said she hopes the policies she proposed will pass and be implemented before 2019, when the repeal of the individual mandate is expected to shrink the individual insurance market by several million people and drive up premiums by at least 10 percent.

She is emblematic of the titanic struggle a man of wealth (not public graft) has had to engage to get rid of these trough-feeders on both sides of the DC sty.

The tremendous amount of ginned up rage on both sides should be enough to let even the blindest to see that somebody is now on the scene and fucking with their collective honey-pot. But no. He’s a nazi. He’s this. He’s whatever name you want to insert because smearing is what pigs in sty’s do.

The GOP wouldn't vote to aid the ACA in any fashion regardless of what else was attached to it.
 
meh, all a pantomime. i don't believe she thought the GOP would do anything.
