Crawford

Unless he has a Josh Howard like senior year and gets every vote for ACCPOY, his jersey won’t get anywhere near the rafters. Some people complain about Skip being up there (not me!) and he was first team all-ACC twice and second team once, plus is in the top 5 in scoring and free throw percentage. And he had no 3 point line.

Josh had no 3 point line?

Don’t worry, if he misses a shot, Mr. “Fifth of Beefeater a Night” will be back to criticize.

That was an amazing half - and he made it look pretty easy. Didn't force the issue that often.

Crawford had a great offensive game (second in a row) until crunch time. An inexplicable 30 foot 3 point attempt with 1:45 left and plenty of time left on the shot clock and then the missed free throw which would have cut it to 3. Anti-clutch. Again

I'll predict that Crawford haters will go down in history with the 'Josh Howard is a cancer on this team' group.

Good luck with the prediction. There's no Skip Prosser coming in to save Crawford's college career and turn him into an NBAer.

Games like yesterday's are prime example of why Crawford drives me crazy. 95% of the game he is playing incredibly well. Scoring. Passing. Getting assists.

Then, come crunch time, he goes into low BB IQ "hero ball" mode and jacks up an ill advised three. Maybe somebody gets through to him soon, or he just matures to understand that good decisions and effort on defense are necessary all 40 minutes of the game.

In his best moments he is a really good basketball player. Nut he has too many moments when he becomes like the pitcher in "Bull Durham" who had the "million dollar arm but a 2 cent head"

Good Crawford is an NBA player, maybe even a star. Bad Crawford is going to have him playing in the G league or in somewhere overseas.

That 3 was way worse than ill-advised.

Yep, let's talk about ONE bad shot rather than keeping us in the game for 38 minutes. Typical OGB reaction.

Kinda with RJ on this one. We'd probably be ranked about #130-#140 without Crawford in comparison to the #88 we are with him. Not nearly enough offensive talent on this roster outside of Crawford, Doral, and Woods. And Crawford is the only one on the team who can consistently create his own shot.

If only it were one bad shot. The issue is crunch time bad decisions have become a much too frequent occurrence for a veteran player who should be the team's leader. That said, he did have a heck of a game until the last few minutes.

This is the correct take. Crawford had a bad stretch of games where he made bad decisions and he still plays a lot of hero ball, but he is a good player and would be a great offensive asset on a balanced team with a good coach, which we don’t have.
