Pedolphilia - danger to men - a tough topic
Hi, I work long hours and am continuously pressed for time but I wanted to raise this topic and perhaps Nextdoor is not the place, but then the question would be (to anyone who can answer this), where? I want to reach the common person and especially the average man. I am from Santa Cruz and was living there when "Lost Boys" was filmed. It stirred up horrible violence in our community. I believe these surrounding horrors had been incorrectly attributed in most minds to 'crew' rather than popular actors and producers. Shortly after those events I became good friends with a male co-actor of Corey Feldman - Feldman is the "Lost Boy" who is so brave to now be uncovering the tragic abuses of Hollywood children. I went along with my friend to his Hollywood audition for a part as a high school student in a sitcom. It was less than a decade after "Lost Boys" that I stopped a trafficker dragging a young woman through the side streets of Sausalito - I spoke to the both - and then called the police. I did not understand why the woman did not respond to me (because she did not know English). For 30 years I had little idea what was happening, or how boys were impacted, even being so close to the situation, and maybe I would have never known so clearly were it not for Feldman. Recently a pedophile ring was brought down in Santa Cruz which was led by a prominent Neurosurgeon. I am not sure if Feldman is owed the credit but in any case I am thankful for everything he has done. If you learn what is happening beneath the media surface, it seems that parents in this country are selling their children to pedophiles, and that is the children's jobs, not acting, not pageantry. If you look closely at the Nassar case or Sandusky, you can see between the lines that people were obviously being blackmailed to keep the pedophiles secrets. This is where the danger comes in especially to men. I became friends with a man in the local area who was in a custody battle for his kids after his wife was unfaithful. Her father is a powerful attorney, and pedophile charges were brought against this man. Let me try to explain to men that if you drink or party or ever get depressed about anything (like infidelity) you can easily get into trouble entering into porn which on one level is legal but can quickly become corrupted. WRAL posted extravagantly trumped up charges and when I called for an explanation they straight out admitted the events were exaggerated and they justified themselves. This man lives with this posting for ten years! He can visit his children, guess where, supervised, in his ex father in law's law office. Now this man I find to be as decent as the next and if I had children, no, I would not leave them alone with him, just like I would not leave them alone with most anyone. However there are no charges he ever touched anyone or harmed anyone and it is questionable if he ever saw the images of children. Maybe he got carried away and he did. But the point I want to make is that the severe charges against the few who are not so guilty, can mask the deeper problem of child abuse embedded in our society, that hides behind the acclaimed who use all ends including position along with cruel tactics to continue their addict crimes. This is seriously dangerous not only to children and to women but also the male victims of porn that is easily accessed and can lead to blackmail or other backlash from the truly abusive criminals. May you please heed my warning! And let me know how our community can grow stronger on all sides!
