Republican War on the Poor

I love the idea of Wake Forest as a bastion of liberalism. Sean Hannity’s kid goes to school at Wake. The Koch Brothers fund a capitalism program through the business school.

And there are Republican student groups. Again, facts over feelings.

Isn't there some right wing student newspaper to feed stories to the national outrage circuit as well?

It’s the one the mayonnaise monster kid worked for.

It should surprise no one that a school that costs as much as Wake has a pretty conservative student body. It’s just laughable that rubes paint Wake like UC Berkley.

I, for one, wish BKF wasn’t banned. It’s fascinating to see into the mind of a Trumper. Only he and Lectro (I do not wish he were unbanned) have come out as actual supporters. Well sailor, too. But It was hilarious watching him make shit up and ignore posters good arguments and then lash out with personal attacks.

Yeah. They’re really sheltered. They’ve probably never met a real socialist before.

I guess Efland thinks that if all the millions of "non-citizen" voters in California were uncovered and prevented from voting, then California might join the rest of "Real America" and vote for Trump too. The only way LibDems ever win is through cheating, you know.

He also continues to hold the belief that space matters more than people. Why do the 4 million people in CA have less of a vote than a few thousand in Wyoming? He is free to have and state that opinion but I’m equally free to refute the logic and mock him for it.

It’s fascinating in a tragic and grotesque way.

BKF has no moral compass. He was hugely for Howard Dean for over a decade. He used to be for civil rights for every American. Now, he's the king of check for a dick outside the bathroom crew.

My favorite BKF rant was about kids being handed everything (including a Wake education) when his entire adult business "success" was predicated on whom he married.

His complaint, and that of some other conservative posters, that this board is a liberal circle jerk is also a joke. Liberals argue with each other on here frequently. The Democratic presidential candidates thread alone proves how wrong they are - people there argue all the time about the different candidates, and their positions and beliefs. There's actually a pretty good range of liberal beliefs on here, from the centrist and barely left-of-center to full-blown socialist. Only a right-winger would see all liberal posters as peas in a pod, or victims of some kind of groupthink mentality. To them, John McCain is a leftist and George W. Bush a centrist.

Yea, another matter of feelings over facts.

As is often posted, a conservative poster would be welcome here if they attempted to sincerely present conservative points. Problem is, no Republican poster wants to attempt to defend the indefensible in Trump because they know he’s a shit stain. The only ones who try are the brain-rotten fox boomers or the trolling assholes and even they just nitpick at the margins.

But that's because all Republicans have is their feelings. No ideas just feelings.

There was a Republican Party before trump and will be after trump. I don’t think many pubs are willing to throw away decades of political views just because 1 jackass was elected and put egg all over Republican voters faces. Republicans can stand by their party and not support trump. Trump won’t be president forever

Donald has over 90% approval from self-identified Republicans and the number of self-identified Republicans is within the margin of error (actually higher percentage wise) than it was on Election Day.

My point is that most registered Republicans aren’t going to abandon their party because of one dipshit president. I think they see the light at the end of the tunnel.

And his point is that 90% of republicans do not think he’s a dipshit. Maybe you should consider abandoning that party after all.

I don’t associate with the current Republican Party and won’t be voting for trump. I’m interested to see what direction the party takes once he’s out of office.

Yeah. That light is Trumpism. That's why he has 90% support. He's a dipshit, but he's doing what Republicans want. I think most would agree he's doing what past Republicans leaders haven't had the balls to do.

Yeah, hard to disagree with that.

I like the dudes stance on trade and generally speaking, I don’t mind him going toe to toe with other leaders. I have big time problems with how negatively he views people who aren’t just like him. He’s proven himself to be a terrible human being with a selfish agenda. He’s incited violence on the far right and he’s as hypocritical as they come. I’m ready to bring morals and acceptance back in the Whitehouse.
