Farewell to a great Deacon

Allan Head (BA ‘66, JD 69) passed away. Former member of the track team, parent of 2 deacs, spent two years as the public address announcer for the football team. A great guy and huge fan.

Was head of the NC Bar Association for many many years. Was my Company Commander in ROTC. RIP Allan

Allan and I worked together in the press box and he was a wonderful man. If I remember correctly he was dealing with pancreatic cancer. He came back a couple years ago to be honored at a Wake football game and he definitely didn't look the same. He was always in a good mood and had something positive to say about everything. He will be missed.
