I still think Thad Matta would be the best choice if he has a desire to coach again.

I understand the desire for a young "up and comer"... But if Thad Matta is interested, I think that's the move. I don't consider him a retread like a Ben Howland or even a Tom Crean would have been. I think there were very specific reasons the last couple of seasons at Ohio State were sub-par.

As I've posted before, I like a lot of the other names being mentioned... Grant, Kelsey, Oats (and perhaps even Miller)... But there is a degree of risk with all of them that probably isn't there with Thad Matta.
 
The two years off have been good to him.

I mean, he’s still ugly and looks old... But now he has a tan.
 
obviously it's early, but what other big conference programs are likely to have an opening after this year?
